With the economic development of Zagreb, the traffic in and around the city also increased, however the infrastructure is not prepared for this. Indeed there is a ring road around the city, but it gets very busy in the morning and evening rush hours.
Outside rush hours it is hard to find a parking space in Zagreb, the city is working hard on the construction of underground parking garages though. Some of them are already done, such as the one at the Importanne Centar and the Kaptol Centar.
In recent years the hotels in Zagreb have improved noticeably, older hotels have been renovated thoroughly and dozens of new hotels have been built. You have a large choice in all price categories. Do take into account that Zagreb is becoming more popular and that the city attracts many business people. Booking a room well in advance is very recommendable.
