Location information for London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow Airport in a nutshell

In terms of the number of passengers, Heathrow is Europe's biggest airport. The airport is located on the edge of London, 24 kilometres to the west of the city centre. There are four terminals. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are connected. Terminal 4 can be reached with the free Heathrow Express train. In 2008, a new terminal will be opened on the west side of the airport. The terminal will not be finished before 2015, and Heathrow will then have a capacity of 90 million passengers a year.

There are train stations in the central hall of terminals 1, 2 and 3 and in Terminal 4. In addition, London is easy to reach by car, although the roads around London and the airport are very busy.
