Valence TGV Station is situated approximately 10 kilometers outside the city of Valence in the southeast of France. The station, which is officially called Valence TGV Rhône Alpes Sud, was inaugurated in 2001 and is the starting point of the high-speed rail line of the LGV-Méditerranée between Valence and Marseille. The station has a very original architecture: it was built from armored concrete and the outside is completely made out of glass. The tracks are divided over two floors. The top floor is for TER trains and the TGV trains stop at the lower level.
