Milan Central Station, Milano Centralo, is one of Italy's busiest train stations, handling approximately 120 million passengers annually. From this station international trains run to for example Paris, Nice and Basel, but there are also local trains and intercities to several Italian cities. The station is located on the Piazza Duca d'Aosta in the city center, near many attractions, such as the Duomo. The impressive station was built in 1864, but subsequently extended and adapted several times.
